Scenes from my Weekend | lark & linen
{Color Me Rad gear} For Valentine’s Day this year, I surprised Justin with a year full of dates – a surprise adventure once a month every month until February 2015. On the roster for May: a 5k run with Color Me Rad! In a nutshell, it’s a super-mini marathon of the 5k variety in which every participant decks themselves out in white and people throw colourful powder at you throughout. Silly, but so much fun and pretty much the most epic way to spend a Saturday. In light of full disclosure, if you had asked me at the 4.5 K mark if I’d do it again, I would have had some very strong words for you. But now that it’s over I’m totally and completely on board. I feel like the same can be said for childbirth… right? But I digress. The rest of the we
Frugal Friday: Be Your Own Advocate – a small life
I work with a student who recently got into a car accident. He wasn’t injured, but his car was totaled. The insurance company was giving him the run-around and since English is not his first language, he was having a bit of trouble understanding what they were telling him. DIY When You're Living Small - Yellow Brick Home
It should come as no surprise that we love a good DIY. My heart goes wild when Scott reviews fabric choices with me (oh!, what have I done to him?), and a Sunday stroll through Home Depot is our idea of a great time (really). But with every project we take on, we like to …
Take a Tour of This Effortless, yet Infinitely Chic, Cabin | lark & linen
SHOP THE LOOK: I’ll be the first to admit that this vacation home is a departure from the typical home I showcase around here, but when I stumbled upon in a few weeks ago it made me feel both peaceful and inspired in the same breath, so I’m sharing in the hopes that it does the exact same thing for you. I simply love its eclectic nature, and can most definitely feel the heart and soul that has been poured into this place. It feels like a treasure trove of found goods and I, for one, am a fan. As we approach our upcoming summer vacations, I’m hoping to embody the effortless, yet infinitely chic, vibe that this vacation home denotes.
